Universal qigong

Qigong-or, Chi Kung is a series of meditations which require slow graceful movements and breathing techniques to create Chi, or Qi, to enhance the practitioners overrall health. There are 10,000 forms of Qigong out there, with 200 million people practicing. Universal Intelligence has its own form called Universal Qigong. Although it has its eastern Chinese derivatives, it is its own atheist form that is completely independent in nature.

There are also forms of Qigong done with little or no movement. Standing, sitting, and breathing are all techniques which can be used in Qigong.

The three reasons people practice Qigong are these:

1) To gain strength, health and reverse illness.
2)To begin training as a healer, or cultivator of Qi energy
3) To gain Oneness or inter connectedness with nature and the universe, and ultimately self.

Qi means breath, or "life force." Gong means "work". In Universal Intelligence language, this means cultivating Qi or energy to bring about a more enhanced life and spirit. The energy flows through what some call meridian channels in the body. This affects the body on a physiological level and lessens anxiety, improves intelligence, reduces bad habits and negative self talk, and even eliminate pain.

Universal Qigong is influenced by many forms of Qigong, and invites a creative "spirit" to make up one's own  Qigong movements, depending on individual needs besides its own forms.Learning to cultivate Qi on a basic level is the main principle....the rest is up to the practitioner.

Learning the ways of Qigong is a pathway to the flow of the universe, the lifeblood force of the universe. This is in no way a religion and in fact, Universal Qigong is the only other Qigong besides Taoist Qigong which does not incorporate the deity figure.

Here are some videos of various movements of Universal Qigong:

Universal Qigong threatens the religious movements at times because it indicates the flow can exist without the God concept. However, since the creator of the Universal Qigong is a Jew, it has its Jewish roots and may be used in the Judeo-realm of spirituality as well with any religion. However, the purest source of Universal Qigong is from the atheist perspective of flow and lifeforce energy connected to a collective conscioussness of all life; Or in George Lucas' terms, "the force." A heightened sense of awareness can develop from Qigong...as well as better relations with others on a more balanced level of connectedness with life.
